The Bodnar Periodontal Practice was established in 1961 by Julius S. Bodnar, DDS. Julius, the son of Hungarian immigrants, spent the first 18 years of his life in West Virginia coal country. Following WWII, after proudly serving our country as a medic, Julius began his studies in the field of health and dentistry attending John Carroll University and later Loyola University in Chicago.
In 1954, Dr. Bodnar opened his flagship dental practice in Fairview Park. After serving the community for many years, he recognized the need for specialized gum care in Greater Cleveland and the surrounding suburbs. In 1961, he focused solely on the treatment of gums and became one of the first periodontist in the Greater Cleveland area.
Prior to his passing in 2001, Dr. Julius Bodnar was recognized by local, national and international dental academies, clinicians and societies for his years of quality service and the advancement of the profession. More notable, however, are the thousands of patients who had the opportunity to experience his dental skills, loving care and compassionate treatment.
Bodnar Periodontics has maintained the same standards set forth by Julius of honest quality care, compassion with excellent service and attention to detail.
These principals have earned Bodnar Periodontics many honors including being selected multiple times as Top Periodontists by "Northern Ohio Magazine" and "Cleveland Magazine."
